The PresentIn 1984, to celebrate the centenary of the band’s formation, the decision was made to build a quality rehearsal hall to replace the wooden one which had been used for many years. To achieve this, the band took on as many engagements as it could manage to raise funds to this end. The result of this effort was a hall of which many top class bands would be proud.
International Relations
During the last decade, the band has ventured further afield and, joining in with the East Woodhay Twinning Association, played in the Normandy villages of Anguerny, Colomby and Anisy at the time of the commemorations of the D-day landings. This culminated in a concert with the French Courseulles Band. The enjoyment and friendships which were created quickly established retum visits in both directions.
